About
I’ve spent about ten years building Java and Spring systems - freelance since 2023, across media, health, and finance. These days most of my curiosity goes somewhere else: agentic engineering. Claude Code, multi-agent workflows, evals, and the harness that wraps the model. This blog is where I write down what I actually try - not what the demos promise.
What I write about
Two formats. Radar is a weekly-ish list of finds - a library, a technique, a model, a person - each with an honest one-paragraph take. Deep dive is monthly-ish: one experiment, 800–1500 words, real numbers and the parts that broke. No news aggregation, no tutorial mill. If you can’t disagree with at least one sentence, I didn’t do my job.
How I work
Before freelancing I spent years as a technical coach and trainer - testing, Spring, Git, whole teams. It left me Socratic by default: understand the goal first, then fill the gaps. You’ll feel that here more than you’ll feel a hot-take feed.
In two languages
English is canonical - that’s where the technical jargon lives. Dutch is a reviewed translation for my Flemish colleagues, and the opinions stay exactly as strong. Terms like harness, evals, and context window stay in English in both.
